Quick Tip: Cilantro (Coriander) Fresher for longer ðŸŒ¿

Cilantro or as we call it in South Africa, coriander (dhanya) — is one of those herbs I can never get enough of. I toss it into just about everything: salads, curries, salsa, tacos, pasta… you name it. And back home, we even use the whole coriander seeds (crushed) to spice up our boerewors 😋.

The only problem? Fresh cilantro doesn’t stay perky for long. Nothing worse than reaching for it and finding a sad, wilted bunch.

Here’s a quick tip: – to keep it fresher for longer.

  1. Rinse your cilantro thoroughly.
  2. Pat it dry gently to remove excess water (paper towel works great).
  3. Grab a tall glass or small vase, pour in some cold filtered water, just enough to cover the stems.
  4. Place your cilantro in the glass, stems down, and pop it into the fridge.

✨ Quick note: Change the water every few days to keep it fresh.

With this little hack, your cilantro should stay fresh and happy for up to 1–2 weeks.

Stay fresh, friends! 💚
