Crispy Oven-Baked Bacon

Crispy bacon was never really my thing, but ever since I moved to Toronto. I’ve accepted and now appreciate the crispy side of the bacon life (and by the way maple flavoured bacon, is life!). Instead of frying it up in the pan or skillet, let’s crisp it up in the oven. Still the same flavor and definitely still the same crispy bite. Serve it with your eggs for breakfast or have it as a snack. Go ahead and try it, it’s tasty!

INGREDIENTS

  • Bacon
  • 1 Large baking sheet or pan
  • Parchment paper or baking paper
  • Paper towel

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven at 400° F or 200° C.
  2. Line baking sheet/pan with parchment paper or baking paper.
  3. Put down bacon on the baking sheet/pan.
  4. Cook for about 18-20 minutes or until you get the crisp you desire.
  5. Take bacon out of the oven, wait till its cooled down. Line plate with paper towel, place bacon on paper towel lined plate. Take another piece of paper towel and dab the access bacon oil off the bacon and serve. You can serve it with your breakfast omelet or scrambled eggs or have it as a snack. Enjoy!
